CS-800 - Duplex Phone Patch and Repeater Controller
The CS-800 contains everything necessary to convert your duplex base station, repeater, or dual band transceiver into a powerful Full Duplex (or Semi-Duplex) Mobile Radio Telephone system. A built-in repeater maker will turn your system into a repeater if desired. This will greatly extend the communications range of mobile and portable radios on the system.
Once installed, mobile and portable radios
can initiate and receive telephone calls fully automatically. You will appreciate
the multitude of important high tech standard features (like those listed
above) which are simply not available in other low cost duplex interconnects.
CS-800 STANDARD FEATURES
Full Duplex Interconnect: Allows the mobile to receive and transmit at the
same time. This allows the users to carry on a conversation like a regular
telephone. Local Programming: Programming by built in keyboard and digital
display.
Dial Access Remote Base: Dispatch and have full use of your radio system
from any telephone. 90 Memory Speed Dialer: Up to 16 digits per phone number
may be programmed.
Semi-Duplex Interconnect: In this duplex mode, the mobile can press the
mike button and talk at any time, which immediately cutts off the land side
audio. Telephone Security: Programmable toll override and toll restrictions.
Repeater Controller: The model CS-800 provides everything necessary to convert
any receiver and transmitter into a high performance repeater with built
in duplex phone patch. Front Panel Status Lamps. Indicates if the system
is receiving, if DTMF is being received, if transmitter is on, and if the
telephone line is connected.
CWID: Generates a CWID sequence during interconnect connection, disconnect,
and repeater mode. Call Waiting: If a mobile call is attempted and the line
is in use, a beep lets those using the line know that a mobile would like
to make a call. At the same time, a busy signal informs the mobile that
the line is in use. Later on, an alert tone notifies the mobile when the
line becomes available for use.
REPEATER PROGRAMMABLE FEATURES
Repeater Enable/Disable: Can be used to totally eliminate repeater capability
if the CS-800 is to be used for interconnect only.
Stuck Mike Activity Timer: If the user keeps his mike pressed beyond the
specififed time, the transmitter will be turned off until the Mike is released.
Repeater On/Off Control Code: A three digit code that allows the system
operator to remotely enable or disable the repeater function
Repeater Courtesy Beep: If enabled, the courtesy beep sounds each time a
mobile is finished talking. This lets the other mobile know for sure that
you have finished and its time to respond.
System CWID Interval: Determines how often the system will send its callsign
when the system is not in use. Courtesy Beep Character: This choice allows
selecting any morse code character as the courtesy beep.
Hang time: Amount of time the repeater will be active after the subscriber
ceases transmission from his mobile.
GENERAL PHONE PATCH PROGRAMMABLE FEATURES
Interconnect Operating Mode: Allows the phone patch to work in either half
duplex or full duplex modes. Activity Timer: Sets the maximum time there
is no signal from the mobile before the system disconnects the telephone
line.
Semi Duplex Privacy: Mobile side of conversation not heard if privacy feature
enabled. Call Limit Timer: Sets the maximum time a user can use the interconnect
before the system disconnects the telephone line.
Remote Programming Access Code: Four digit access code to allow remote programming
of the interconnect access codes. CWID: Determines whether CWID is generated
only on disconnect or both connect and disconnect.
Disconnect Code: Allows the disconnect code to be "#" plus access
code digits. Busy Signal Disconnect: If enabled, a busy signal occurring
after a call has been established will cause a disconnect.
Line In Use Detect:When enabled, mobiles are prevented from cutting in on
calls that are already in progress on the same line. Dialtone Disconnect:
If enabled, a dialtone occurring after a call has been established will
cause a disconnect.
Five PTT Autodial: If enabled, five presses of the mobile Mike button will
automatically dial the phone number stored in the speed dial memory Aux
Relay Mode: Determines if the AUX Relay will be pulled in during Connect,
PTT Keying, or by remote function access code.
Dialing Mode: Can be set up for either tone (DTMF) or pulse. Remote Function
Access Code: User selectable access code for turning on and off the relay.
Access Delay: Allows for compensation of the PTT hang after pressing a DTMF
key on a mobile. Connect Code: A one to six digit access code. Access is
either * up or * plus the access code. There are up to 99 seperate access
codes available
Manual Dialing: Determines if the user can dial manually or must use the
speed dial memory. CWID Sequence Characters: Allows a callsign of up to
fifteen characters to be transmitted for the system CWID.
Toll Restrict Digit Counting: If enabled, a number exceeding ten digits
cannot be dialed. Speed Dialer: Up to 90 seperate telephone numbers can
be stored in the speed dialer memory.
Prefix Restrict: Determines what dialing digit sequence will cause the system
to automatically disconnect.
INCOMING CALLS PHONE PATCH PROGRAMMABLE FEATURES
Busy Channel Monitor: Checks to see if channel is busy prior to ringout
or autoanswer to avoid interference with existing radio traffic. Ringout
DTMF Sequence: A 1 - 6 digit DTMF alert to be sent during the ringout alert
interval.
Ringout on Ring Number: Determines what ring number the system will start
to generate the ringout sequence. Ringout Mode: Can be set to ringout once
or on alternate rings.
Ringout Alert: Selects whether the ringout alert will consist of a Ring
Tone or CWID. The Ring Tone is similar to a telephone ring. Autoanswer Ring
Number: Sets which incoming ring will autoanswer to allow remote base mode.
